One Degree Therapy's Family Education Group is a 12-week skills development group designed for family members who support a loved one living with emotion dysregulation or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
Family members can include parents, siblings, partners, or anyone interested in learning how to support their loved one more effectively.
Goal of Family Skills Group

Emotion dysregulation and Borderline Personality Disorder can be very confusing, complex, and complicated. Having a loved one with emotion dysregulation affects everyone in the family and when family members and caregivers become burnt out, they become less skillful. Research has shown that improvements in family functioning are a key pathway to improved patient outcomes and improved family well-being.
My Family Education Group is a 12-week skills development group designed for family members who support a loved one living with emotion dysregulation or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Family members can include parents, siblings, partners, or anyone interested in learning how to support their loved one more effectively.
Participants will receive up-to-date education and research, skill development focused on proven strategies that will help you interact and communicate with your loved one more effectively, as well as increase emotional connection. The course also focuses on the importance of self-care and creating a more balanced approach to supporting your loved one.
Fees: $75 per person, per session
Timing: 12 weeks, 2 hours per session (24 total hours of support)
**For Alumni of a past 12-week Family Skills Group we offer a 2 hour session each month to provide continued peer support and the opportunity for additional relevant and new learning**
